Tolerance Analysis with T360: An Engineering Conversation
An archived Rev4 discussion outline on maintaining tolerance stacks across design revisions.

Based on an unpublished Rev4 podcast announcement. No audio recording is provided.
Why a tolerance-analysis conversation matters
Rev4’s archived draft announced an engineering discussion about practical tolerance-analysis work and Tolerance360. The archived record does not contain an audio file or an external podcast player, so this page is presented as an article rather than a playable episode.
The everyday problem with stacks
As parts change, tolerance stacks need to be checked against the current design. Copying dimensions into disconnected spreadsheets creates opportunities for stale values, inconsistent assumptions and a lack of revision history.
What the workflow should capture
An effective process maintains the source drawing, dimension identification, stack definition, assumptions, calculation method, version and review outcome together. This is especially important when several engineers or suppliers contribute information to the same assembly.
A better discussion to start
Which stacks change most often? Who verifies the dimension source? How does a revision trigger an update? How many hours are spent reconciling Excel files? Those questions provide a useful starting point for evaluating the process and whether a connected system could help.
