Mechanical Engineer
Requirements
- Create and update component and assembly models and drawings using CAD tools.
- Create Tolerance stacks using the TADM (Tolerance Analysis and Database Management) System.
- Update dimensional information and tolerance stacks as design changes and drawings are updated.
- Create and use component models to create tolerance stacks in Enventive® software.
- Analyze and understand the output of tolerance stacks and their effect on performance of the final product.
- Propose appropriate modifications and changes to design based on tolerances stack results.
- Generate First Article Inspection reports to ensure dimensional accuracy of manufactured components.
- Compare First Article Inspection data to design and analyze effects of variation on performance of final product.
- Recognize interaction between components of product. Design and develop test fixtures and test methods for components and sub assemblies.
Perform tests per developed methods and analyze results. - Analyze root causes of failure and propose changes and improvements to the design based on test results.
Create mathematical models of subsystems and analyze performance under various scenarios. - Work Location: various unanticipated work locations throughout the United States; relocation may be required.

Medical Device Electrical Engineer
Requirements
- Responsible for design, development and implementation of electrical enhancements of system control electronics.
- Design end-to-end electrical solutions for complex electrical assemblies and components.
- Coordinate the fabrication of prototypes and testing to verify design requirements.
- Develop board (PCB) design requirements and specifications.
- PCB and FCB detailed design, simulation, and schematic capture.
- Robust designs for reliability and regulatory compliance (e.g. EMI).
- Design and document test method and fabricate test fixtures.
- Develop timing and physical implementation constraints.
- Develop and execute verification plans written for board designs.
- Lead design integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Hold detailed design reviews for board and system designs.

Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited 4 year program, Master’s degree preferred.
- Preferred 4 or more years of work knowledge of developing complex electronics control systems both analog and digital.
- Experience within highly regulated manufacturing environments including aerospace, medical device, or automotive industries.
- Solid computer skills including MS Office, engineering design software such as Solidworks, MatLab, LabView, Altium, etc.
- Proficient with oscilloscopes, Multimeter, logic analyzers, current probes, and related tools.
- Good experience with optical systems, cameras and lasers.
- Good schematic design and layout experience.
- Experience with embedded systems.
- Experience in coordinating and mentoring lower level Electrical Engineers.
- Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.

Software Engineer, R&D
Requirements
This Software Engineer, R&D, will work with internal and external teams to develop advanced surgical instruments.
- This position will lead the definition, design, development, implementation, and integration of embedded software on surgical devices.
- This individual must collaborate with internal and external customers, partners, and consultants to effectively communicate and deliver novel surgical instruments to market.
- Provide technical input to embedded software design and implementation to develop and finalize product software for a medical device.
- Able to perform requirements management including creation, review, and verification of software and product requirements.
- Submission and tracking of software design changes.
- Review of DV protocols.
- Review and creation of software risk management documents.
- Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing, along with setting up and running laboratory simulations.
- Troubleshoot software issues on a mechanical system.
- Work with an external supplier for software development.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and co-develop complex electro-mechanical devices.
- Conduct and/or participate in technical design reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in low-level embedded software product design. 3 years’ experience in an FDA-regulated environment is required.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching Class C software medical devices.
- Strong software architecture design and analysis skills, including an understanding of DFX principles.
- A firm understanding and participation in all phases of the IEC62304 Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience designing with ARM Architectures.
- Experience with Object Oriented analysis and design.
- Ability to develop Test Tools Software using Microsoft .NET.
- Quality Test Engineering experience.
- Experience with RTOS and Configurable Logic is preferred.

Senior Designer
Requirements
- Execute specific and general assignments as an active member of an R&D team.
- Provide innovative, functional, cost effective, and validated product designs.
- Develop and maintain 3D models and drawings with CAD (Computer Aided Design) support on a design team with Solidworks or NX CAD.
- Write, submit, and release engineering changes to new and released product documentation in CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database.
- Understand the design requirements of the project.

- Experience within highly regulated manufacturing industries including medical device, aerospace or automotive.
